2013 President’s statement

JCI Fukuoka will greet the year of the turning point of the 60th anniversary in 2013.

“ The spirit of creation” which is transmitted for 60 years from generation to generation without interrupt.

“ The passion and ambition” which is transmitted from the senior member to the junior member during undertaking various projects.

“Creativity and Action” which is that we challenge without afraid of a risk for the future of Fukuoka.

“Growth and friendship” which is gotten by studying together and undertaking projects with the same opinion.

These are transmitted as a DNA of JCI Fukuoka for a long time, and also the history of JCI Fukuoka is created by the passion and the effort of the members who belong to JCI Fukuoka every year. It is important to pass this proud history and great DNA to the next generation. Let’s do the projects for our lovely city, Fukuoka, and deepen the growth and friendship this 61st year to transmit these to the next generation.

They are the treasure of life, which is hard to replace, and the motive force to think of people and do something for people. They made meeting many friends and the teacher of the life, supporting together for the same goal, and overcome difficulties together
I think that this is just the first charm of JCI Fukuoka, and is just the basis. Even if the contents of activity and the form of JC will accomplish change from now on, I think that it is necessary to tell this basis to the next generation.

Moreover, JCI Fukuoka has the precious property of more than 1300 special members. Existence of special members is the precious property which is equal to DNA of the trust which obtained the past line from the enterprise to which it came, or Fukuoka JC inherited continuously. Special members have experience and the knowledge that we do not have only in JC but also in life. Our growth is urged to having an opportunity coming into contact with in big people of the vessel which ripened from itselves, and various forms. Although the portion polished as a man also has the close application between these generations plentifully, isn’t it connected to the attractive organization on whom an attractive human being gathers?

The greatest real pleasure of JC is encounter. People can have encounter because they come out. If people do not come out, nothing starts. Also 2013, it asks for many encounter with a member, a special member, and people of a temporary transfer place or the exterior, each committee acts positively, and I would like you to perform activity which produces many exchange and sharing of an opportunity.

The Generation Y’s graduation year approaches and the sense of impending crisis of member reduction is that anyone feels. However, there was more population of S 50 to S59 years which are a center after Generation Y’s graduating birth than the population of S 30 years which are not post-baby boomers and a junior generation, either to S39 birth, and more than 300 members were in JCI Fukuoka also around 2000 when the generation played an active part. Moreover, it was a time of the lost-ten-years after the collapse of the ‘bubble’ economy also about business those days. On the contrary, that the membership was not able to be lengthened by the time when business became facing up and the Generation Y became the main force temporarily has suggested that the power of absorption of Fukuoka JC is declining. In order to maintain the member from now on, it is necessary to heighten the power of absorption and dispatch power of JC.
For that purpose, the responsibility is not undertaken only in a specific committee, but the state of JC which should be aimed at by the whole LOM is shared, and it is necessary to take the various actions for member expansion by the whole LOM.

JC has the idea “realization of bright and prosperous society”. Although it is the idea with which everyone sympathizes intelligibly, if their eyes were turned only to a broad view called a society as a whole and it is working, the important step we come together and stand is missed. Our foundations are our family and company and it is not persuasive in the place where the human being who neglects [ that it is negligent ] that put however noble language in order. Fortunately its foundation is neither the home of each [ society ], nor the aggregate of a company, and if, I think that “realization of bright affluent society” cannot be performed. the appearance which averted its eyes from a home or work to the excuse, ran into space called JC, and is self-satisfied with a temporary sense of accomplishment and a temporary sense of solidarity in JC — if — the organization itself called JC cannot but be virtual space, and the splendid idea of fabrication or us is also self-complacent — it does not become. On the other hand, even if it is seeing only the foundation, isn’t it difficult to maintain even it in this blockaded time?

At a frog in the well, our thinking and action are only inside of our capacity.

In order to protect a family and a company from change, visited compulsorily and problems, it is necessary to enlarge an own capacity by passing through various experiences, and to return at feet of oneself through the experience. To be the true economic expert and the leader of an area, I think we are trained by JC activity and movement

It opens an own vessel that absorb what avariciously, and it does not fear failure but acts with passion. You respect all men, and doesn’t it lead to the further happiness of a family or a company in order to put on the culture which is not shameful, an opinion, and true leader slack human being power, even if it talks with whom an area, domestic and international economy, politics, history, culture, and where? In order to make our lovely people really happy without independently, we have to make our own community and societies better.The idea of JC thinks that fortunate realization of persons familiar originally develops. It is necessary that we value our foundation which we stand, devote to the JC activity and act to make our lovely people happy.

Let’s surely perform a bright community improvement for those who we love.

The free way of thinking is the right which has many experiences previously

If we searches for freedom from nothing, it becomes the way of thinking which has no destination like the uncontrollable kite.By making the foundation firmly, we can jump highly. It creates the free way of thinking, and this lead to a mutational exciting project.
Fortunately, JC has many experiences, achievements, and connections with the external organizations from the past.In order for a committee to achieve significant success in the limited period of one year, it is required to study this foundation firmly, to build up a bold hypothesis in the free way of thinking on it, and to act with passion.

The most important thing is to take action without fearing failure. If you have a time to argue about risk, possibility, and small things, please start action to make it realize instead. If you try to move someone, you need to take action first with passion. If you take action, the experiences from the past will be usefully and also people surround you will help you. This experience will becomes blood and meat of JCI Fukuoka, and support the younger generations. Moreover, it will become the precious experience for producing not only in JC activity but also in your job and local activity.

We have performed many proposals for Fukuoka from“the expectation and proposal for Fukuoka” which were proposed by the 10th anniversary to “Asia exchange metropolitan deceleration” in 2010. These proposals may be childish compared with what many organizations other than us have proposed, and may be unreal.

However, I think the predecessors of JCI Fukuoka are great not because they were critics but because they took action with passion to make them realize.We have undertaken various movements and projects. ” the expectation and proposal for Fukuoka” which made the master plan of Fukuoka change, the movement about the prefectural office site which reversed sale determination, the professional team attraction activities of baseball and soccer, and the Asian-Pacific Children’s Convention to which celebrates a 25th anniversary, “NAKASU JAZZ” -now about 50,000 participants-, and many activities with various scale in the past 60 years.

I am sure that these all projects contribute with the bright future of Fukuoka, even if the degree of influence is different.　We should be able to sometimes surely do also 2013 for realization of the bright future of Fukuoka. First of all, let’s start with getting interested with the present and future of Fukuoka which we love.And let’s have confidence and undertake the project created by every committee. It does not matter whether the scale of project is big or not. It is important to think about the future of Fukuoka earnestly, and to tackle with confidence and passion for realization of the ideal. Then, the project will surely be connected with bright future of Fukuoka.

If a leg is attached to the ground, and If you can strives for corporate activity firmly taking advantage of the experience and participate also in a local activity and an educational activity positively through a family, the further synergistic effect to the bright future of Fukuoka will also be obtained.

“Unchangeableness”

The duty to the future cannot be achieved only by inheriting and connecting the style only.

In order for JCI Fukuoka to keep developing and continue, it is necessary to change things according to change of the needs currently searched for by society and the citizen without caught by bondage or custom.

Moreover, the organization must be attractive for the member who belong to. While population will go to reduction from now on, in order to carry out development continuation succeedingly, it has regard himself and an improvement of a continuous organization is needed. We must not neglect the efforts in which the essence of JC activity holds something by always performing self-question answering oneself to all matters, in order that “why that may be right”, and changing a viewpoint and thinking long and hard about it. [ whether that will be “really right” and ] .

Let’s think together to make JCI Fukuoka real attractive organization from the view point of JCI Fukuoka member and also by citizen of Fukuoka.I think that our mission is to take over wonderful DNA of JCI Fukuoka to the next generation like our senior did.

The property and DNA which have been succeeded since the past of Fukuoka JC are utilized, and it has a strong driving force called our free way of thinking and free friend, and since it is JC needed truly by the citizen who can be proud of oneself, let’s act with passion with all members.

“At the last”

JC life of each member is different because each member has different enrollment period, its priority,　the money and time which can use, the opportunity which can be experienced.However, by taking action oneself, a member can surely experience the encounter with the friend who can do association a lifetime and impression that nature and a tear overflow.
